Constable Jake Friesen is a Forensic Identification Officer with the Peterborough – Lakefield Community Police in Ontario, Canada. When he is not collecting evidence at crime scenes, Jake serves as the department’s Forensic Artist. Jake is a successful and talented artist who spearheaded the department’s purchase of SketchCop FACETTE Face Design System Software.
Jake’s first use of SketchCop FACETTE resulted in the quick identification and arrest of the suspect. Since then, he has integrated SketchCop FACETTE with his art skills to push the limits of the software by using photo imaging software to fine tune his images. Remember, you do not have to be an artist like Jake to use the software. SketchCop FACETTE was designed primarily for use by non-artists. But, since most Forensic Artists pursue their craft as a secondary duty, we encourage them to use SketchCop FACETTE in a way that will combine the power of the program with their artistic skills. They only need to be open-minded like Jake and focus on using the best tools available.
SketchCop Solutions encourages other law enforcement agencies throughout North America to follow Jake’s example and integrate SketchCop FACETTE for use in their Investigative and Forensic Units. If you want to learn more about SketchCop FACETTE or request a FREE software demo, go to our Contact page and send us an e-mail.
