Michael’ s cases have been profiled on: ‘America’ s Most Wanted’ and ‘Unsolved Mysteries’. He’s also been profiled in several major news outlets and interviewed on several popular TV programs such as: CNN with Connie Chung, Fox News Channel, ABC 20/20 with Barbara Walters and ID Discovery’ s show “Wicked Attraction: Bad Fortune.”
In 2015, Michael appeared on the History Channel special, Alcatraz: Search for the Truth. The program examined new evidence leading to speculation that the Anglin Brothers (John and Clarence) survived the infamous 1962 escape from Alcatraz Penitentiary.
Michael was asked to compare prison booking photographs of the Anglin Brothers against those alleged to have been taken in the mid-1970’ s. After reviewing the photographs, he concluded that it was ‘highly-likely’ the Anglin Brothers survived their trip across the cold and treacherous San Francisco Bay. This startling revelation grabbed the attention of United States Marshal’s investigators and helped breathe new life into the decades-long investigation.
Michael appeared in HLN network’s – “Unmasking A Killer”, a five-part documentary detailing a series of unsolved murders committed by the Golden State Killer, also known as ‘GSK’ and/or ‘EARONS’ – East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker. For nearly 40 years, this killer has committed 12 murders and 51 rapes throughout California. Michael appeared in Episode 2, ‘The Pattern of a Killer’, where he provided riveting commentary about the case. (Note: Shortly after the series aired, investigators identified, and arrested, Joseph James DeAngelo after his DNA was matched through a genealogy database.)
Most recently, Michael provided expert commentary during an HLN Network special about the “Delphi Murders” providing valuable insight about a newly released sketch that authorities hope will identify the killer.
