Facial Comparison and Analysis – Requirements

Facial Comparison & Photo Authentication

Collectors seeking to authenticate historical or celebrity photographs can request a professional facial comparison and analysis. We bring extensive experience examining images of well-known individuals and historical figures, applying proven methodologies grounded in forensic practice.

Submission Requirements

To begin your evaluation, please provide:

  • High-resolution, scanned copies of your photograph(s)

  • Source images of known, verified individuals for comparison

  • Provenance supporting the origin and authenticity of the image

  • Any prior expert reports or analyses

Please note: We do not review homemade Photoshop comparisons or speculative, non-evidence-based opinions.

What You Receive

When you retain our services, you will receive:

  • An unbiased expert opinion

  • A detailed written report

  • Supporting photo exhibits documenting the analysis

If you are dissatisfied with the findings, you are welcome to seek an additional independent expert opinion.

Important Considerations

Facial comparison and analysis involve a degree of subjectivity. While established methodologies guide the process, other examiners, and those with little or no expertise in facial examination and analysis, may interpret images differently.

No one can state with absolute certainty that an individual depicted in one photograph is the same person shown in another. There are simply too many variables involved. Be cautious of anyone who claims otherwise.

The strongest case for authenticity is built upon:

  • The experience and methodology of the examiner

  • Corroborating opinions from other qualified experts

  • Verifiable provenance supporting the origin of the photograph

A Final Thought

It’s my professional opinion that more authentic images of notable individuals exist than are currently recognized—despite what descendants, collectors, or historians may believe. It is entirely possible that you may, in fact, have one that has yet to be discovered.
